Three new models – Inductive Timing Light (CP7527), Advance Timing Light (CP7528), and Digital Advance Timing Light (CP7529) – offer basic to full-featured functions and options.

Actron®, a leading manufacturer of automotive diagnostic tools, introduces a new family of timing lights with the right models everyone from occasional do-it-yourselfers to serious mechanics. Three new models – Inductive Timing Light (CP7527), Advance Timing Light (CP7528), and Digital Advance Timing Light (CP7529) – offer basic to full-featured functions and options.

All three new Actron Timing Lights can be used for conventional, electronic, and computer controlled ignition systems. Each comes standard with: all metal inductive pick up; super bright Xenon flash; one-touch control; durable, plated ABS housing; heat resistant over molding on battery clips; a detailed instruction manual; and a one year warranty.

The Inductive Timing Light is designed for standard base timing. It features On/Off touch control and can be used with DIS and 2 cycle systems. The Advance Timing Light allows accurate adjustment of base and advance timing reading. It also features On/Off

touch control and has an adjustable knob that measures centrifugal, vacuum, and computer advance.

The Digital Advance Timing Light has advanced features with a bright LED screen and mode indicator lights. This robust timing light has microprocessor-controlled circuitry, digital LED readout tachometer and advance display, a unique flashlight feature button, 2/4 cycle and RPM/advance lights, and up and down scroll buttons.

Correct ignition timing is essential for achieving maximum fuel economy and performance from spark ignited engines.

“Although conventional distributor ignition systems are only found on older cars, using a timing light to check computer timing is very viable when determining the cause of engine problems,” Joe Young, Product Manager for Actron, explains. “Of course, there are still lots of older cars out there with distributor ignition systems.”
