NEW OBD II AUTOSCANNER FROM ACTRON HELPS CONSUMERS MAKE FAST, ACCURATE DIAGNOSES
User-friendly Code Scanner allows DIYers to retrieve, read and erase DTCs on OBD II-compliant passenger models

CLEVELAND, OH, November 2002 Actron Manufacturing Company is empowering a new generation of automotive do-it-yourselfers through a growing line of highly sophisticated yet easy-to-use consumer diagnostic instruments, including the new Actron OBD II AutoScanner CP9135 code scanner.

Now available through leading automotive retailers across North America, the OBD II AutoScanner (Part No. CP9135) allows consumers to quickly retrieve, read and erase generic diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) on any OBD II-compliant passenger vehicle. This innovative tool features fast-function "Read" and "Erase" hot keys that allow the user to save time while troubleshooting common automotive performance issues. Identifying and defining DTCs generated by the vehicle's on-board diagnostic system is a vital step in pinpointing potential ignition, fuel system, engine and other operating problems.

The OBD II AutoScanner's large, menu-driven LCD screen quickly displays and defines any generic DTC, eliminating the need to refer to a separate code definition handbook. This valuable tool displays all pending codes, I/M monitors and malfunction indicator light (MIL) status and enables the user to erase DTCs once any malfunction has been addressed.

The fully field-upgradeable OBD II AutoScanner features a rugged, high-impact housing that is resistant to oil, grease and other potential contaminants. An 8-foot cable with standard OBD II connector is included.
