  What are DTCs?
When the vehicle on-board computer recognizes and identifies a problem, a DTC or Diagnostic Trouble Code for that fault is stored in its memory. These codes are intended to help you determine the root cause of a problem. OBD II Diagnostic Trouble Codes consist of a five-digit alphanumeric code. The DTC format and general code types are shown here.

The PocketScan Code Reader CP9125, OBD II AutoScanner CP9135, SPANISH OBD II AutoScanner CP9138S, SUPER AutoScanner CP9145 and SUPER AutoScanner Kit CP9150 can read and erase DTC codes from your vehicle’s on-board computer system.
